Shortly before sunset I was preparing to take this shot of an historic ship in Newport, OR. As I was about to release the shutter to photograph this marvelous relic in complete shade, the setting sun unexpectedly, and only for a very brief moment, suddenly cleared the underside of the distant highway bridge and flashed its dazzling warm light on my subject creating a multitude of reflections of reflections.
